Hi there!

Were about to set up a user at work to get emails synced using IMAP through Exchange. (I know 2.0 is coming out soon, but that's in June/July :|)

We've just installed the latest service pack for SBS2003 to get this up and running but have no clue where to go from here as we don't have the iPhone in front of us.

Can anyone suggest how this is accomplished on the exchange side of things and the iPhone side of it please?

Many thanks!

I'm a little confused. I thought that the iPhone could support Exchange-based accounts via IMAP.

ah, I see. So no push email, contacts, calendars etc

I stopped using Exchange hosting when I got my iPhone and moved onto gmail. Is there a way to sync contacts and calendar items from Address Book and iCal to gmail?

No the push will come with the 2.0 update.

Watch the March 6th event at the beginning for more information. HERE. Very impressive to be honest.

The best way is to sync contacts and calendars from your Mac using Address Book and iCal respectively.

I think what you asked can be done though. HERE.

Hang on a sec, all I want is for the exchange server to be able to store the emails and the iPhone connect to it to retrieve the emails via IMAP?

Looking at the picture above, there is a setting for it to be able to do this? I'm not looking for push email or to sync anything at all. Just to be able to retrieve the emails from the exchange server...
