Well last night whilst extremely intoxicated I had a pitcher in one hand and my beloved iphone in the other. Next thing I knew, my iphone was headphone jack end down submerged in my pitcher upto halfway on the screen.

I quickley dove my hand in and fished it out, and then sucked any drink out of it! lol
It was still turned on and the screen and phone were still fully functional. I found this reassuring in my drunken state until I made a phonecall to test if the ear speaker was still working. The screen showed a call duration but I had not heard the line ring or anybody answer. ****.

After getting home earlier than planned because I was completely trollied and annoyed about my phone I took the sim card and the sim card tray out and left the phone infront of the radiator.

Works *touch wood* perfectly luckily!

I hear theres a water sensor in the phone, more specifically bottom of the headphone jack, so that apple can tell if its been swimming? I can see a faint light pink, apparently it goes red if it gets wet?

Anybody else had any amusing accidents with theirs?

Mines perfectly white.

But there are two sensors, one at the top, one at the bottom.

Could just say you were unlucky and a single drop of rain managed to maneuver its way down the hole :P

I wonder if saying you blow into the jack a lot to keep it clean and moisture from your breath must have made it change colour would suffice :p

You should have turned off the phone immediately, and let it dry out for a few days.

By making a call whilst it was wet you probably did more harm than good :o

There is a sensor that detects moisture, so you're pretty much screwed if it goes belly up as they'll just say it's your fault. Sorry.

Yeah, the sensor has one third red at current. I don't quite know how it isnt all completely wet as it was half submerged for about 2/3 seconds. Maybe something to do with the mix of vodka, orange and ice?

Still working *touch wood*
