Hi.
I have my iPhone configured with googlemail for one of my email accounts.
Is there a way i can configure the iPhone and/or GoogleMail so that when i delete something it neither puts it in the phones trash or googles trash, so that it deletes strait away?

Ive faffed with the settings panels on both my iPhone & GoogleMail to no avail.

Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks in advance all.:).

Just go into the bin and click delete again to permanently delete it.

Didn't know the iPhone had its own bin? Mine just syncs with gmail.

I know how to delete it from the bin, what i want to know is how to bypass the bin.

Isn't there a setting which auto-deletes it from the bin after a specified time?

You may want to check out this link, and configure Gmail to use exchange (i.e. get push)

Its already configured. I dont need to know how to configure it.

Yeah, shortest time is a day. I need it to be instant though.

Im aware of this, but this doesnt help the problem at hand...

Try the web interface for Gmail - it really blows away the inbuilt iPhone mail client!
Still doesnt help the problem though does it? :p

LOL.
