Hey guys,

I've got Tomtom and Copilot on the 3GS, however the signal is very poor. It cannot hold a lock and even goes backwards.

I know the cradle has a GPS enhancer but I don't want to spend another £££.

The phone is on the dashboard, tilted forward and has a clear line of sight.

What else can I do to make it work?

You could buy another third party bluetooth GPS receiver, but it'll still cost you nearly £50 I expect.

I recently took my (or rather, it took me) Tomtom equipped iPhone upto North London, and then back through the Centre of London, and it performed flawlessly.

Where do you have it on your dashboard? It it have a clear line of sight? Do you have any kind of case or skin on it? Do you have a DAB radio (Running blind here, but I believe the higher DAB frequencies run close to the lower GPS frequencies).

I don't really want to spend more money tbh otherwise I might as well get a proper tomtom.

Its on a brodit holder just on one of the air vents with clear line of sight. No case or DAB....

Do you have the cradle? How do you have it, lanscape/portrait?

Hey guys, thanks for your comments. Just been playing around with copilot and it has held a lock throughout my 20min journey. I'm using it lanscape on the front vent with a case, so I have no idea what the problem was before...Tomtom is still a pain
