iPhone graphics failure ?

Has anyone else had their graphics fail on their iPhone 2G ?

Im starting to get these horizontal lines appera on my screen, and it is very slowly getting worse. The phones is workingj ust fine though.

I just want to know if this is common or is there anything i could try to solve it?
EDIT: Just found out my first iPhone i bought is still in warranty, but that got replaced and its this replacement that has gone faulty. Surely i can get them to fix this under warranty? It runs out on the 25th April

Take to apple store - show them the issue - leave with new phone.

I once got a full-on crash where the whole screen was filled with random-coloured 'pixel noise'. Hasn't happened again, though.

Spoke to apple, and i have 10 days of warranty left so they are going to repair/replace the iphone

Do you think ill get a 3G one?
