Iphone - how do you stop a text message being sent?

anyway of canceling a text message when its being sent?

a few times ive found my self texting and ive pressed the send button by mistake,

ive wanted to stop it sending, but cant work out how to do it

is it possible?

maybe a third party SMS tool supports it? i dont use any of them, only like using the stock one.

If you use the iSMS app it will ask for you to confirm it before it sends.

Not sure it works on many phones.

Mine has an option to cancel during sending, never works though. (not an iPhone)

Yeah I've done this a couple of times, the send button is a bit close to the keypad for it not to have a confirm option, but its not too bad.

tbh you can't afaik, but also tbh on most, if not all phones once its started sending, you realise whats happened and pressed stop, the message is already sent, your phone is just waiting for a confirm or something, because inevitably you just get a message saying... er what ??? wheres the rest of the message?
