Being an apple product, i'd be surprised if they drop by any significant amount at all.
Well the Viewty or Prada ain't exactly top of their league.

The LG KU990 Viewty mobile phone has broken through the 5 megapixel barrier... but there's much more to it than a few extra pixels on your photos. The 5.1 megapixel Schneider-Kreuznach certified lens has a manual focus option, giving you total control over your pictures. An image stabiliser and xenon flash will keep your photos clearer, with built-in digital editing software letting you enhance them before uploading them to the internet using 3G technology.
The KU990 is a video recorder as well, capturing video at up to 120 frames per second - a higher quality than any previous camera phones. You can even upload your clips directly to YouTube. A large touch-controlled LCD screen makes it easy for you to control everything, either by using a stylus or by tapping with your fingers. This good-looking phone will appeal to anyone interested in photography - and anyone interested in style!
and the iPhone is? (I'd say the Viewty wasn't far off top)Well the Viewty or Prada ain't exactly top of their league.

I agree with the former, but the latter is just wrong. The iPhone is just an expensive gimmik like the ipod was before better alternatives came out![]()
.They will do what most other companies do I suppose. Normally drop the price once sales start to slow a bit.
...and people will keep buying it.You're clearly not familiar with how Apple work. The only time the price will drop is when they replace it with a new iPhone. It doesn't matter how far behind the competition it ends up lagging, the price will stay as it is.
...and people will keep buying it.
Daft really, that a company has a following the pays through the nose for products, which whilst good in their own right, are often quickly superceeded by another product thats cheaper and better in most ways from another company.
