iPhone - iCloud Restore - Performance Query

Hi all,

What's the general consensus on restoring from iCloud on to the iPhone.

Is it at all possible that restoring could introduce issues or degrade performance?

How about when restoring to a different device, say iPhone 4 to iPhone 5.

I've always set up my new phones from scratch, could I be wasting my time?

I've done it after a device swap and it was fine.

I always restore from a backup when getting a new iPhone and never have a problem.

I've just done this and had no issues at all, which is the same with all my previous upgrades.

Once I've restored I tend to wipe the old backup from iCloud and re-backup the new phone, although this is out of habit after an issue I had with iCloud once.
