£150 at least I'd guess. The xda trion, costs £90 on the same tariff and the exec cost even more at release. For something made by apple, you generally double the price.

As much as I want one, I won't buy one then unlock it, just on the chance Apple could release software to lock it, just like M$ and Xbox Live.

They can't force you to upgrade it.

I might get one instead of an iPod Touch if the unlock software is out by the 19th October, though 8Gb is pushing it.

Apparently the devs are working on a simple UI app that will do all the steps in a few simple clicks, so stay tuned.

I'm happy to do the manual way if it's confirmed by someone on here first

My mate has successfully unlocked quite a few iphones using the manual method, people send him the iphones and he unlocks them (for a fee of course ).
Anyway, now that this free software unlock is coming out I think he'll be out of business quite shortly lol.

Yes, it doesn't say that will do everything they can to break 3rd party apps and lock the phone.
