has anyone got any idea how much it would cost on say a £35 18 month contract? Not more than £150 surely...
As much as I want one, I won't buy one then unlock it, just on the chance Apple could release software to lock it, just like M$ and Xbox Live.

Software-only unlock has been released
So if I was to use the software only unlock would there be anything I can't do compared to the normal AT&T iPhones?

Apparently the devs are working on a simple UI app that will do all the steps in a few simple clicks, so stay tuned.
I'm happy to do the manual way if it's confirmed by someone on here first
It seems that Apple has promised to not take a neutral stance on this and have said that they will be doing whatever it takes to 'break' any 3rd party applications added and to also re-lock the phone.
