Iphone keypad problem during calls.

Got a problem with my Iphone 12 where if you need to press a key during a call to select an automated option, certain keys won't press, mainly 3 and 6 it seems.
I have to keep pressing and eventually it works.

A Google search shows this has been a problem for years and hasn't been fixed!
Tried restarting, turned off wi-fi calling, removed screen protector and case.

Anyone had this?

Never had this problem, sounds like your proximity sensor might be failing.

This is the sensor that blocks areas of screen from touch when your face is up against it during a call.

I think it can be replaced seperately, without risking the face id.

Thanks, but it happens when not holding the phone up to ear.

exactly, if the sensor is malfunctioning, it would falsely lock part of the screen because it falsely believes it is held to your face.
