Our little lad is 3.5 years old and has an old sim-less iPhone 3GS we let him play with in rationed doses. He has some great apps on it like the Cebeebies games one and a couple of others which are good for learning things like spelling and numbers.

Recently he's got a bit bored with them and has been asking me to put new games on it for him. I had a flick through the App Store for him and we looked for the usual stuff he likes like Despicable Me Minions, Postman Pat, Fireman Sam etc but every single one I installed for him has 'in app purchase' adverts which constantly pop up. I realise that the app makers have to make their money somewhere but there must be some half decent kids games for free on the App Store which aren't positively loaded to the high heavens with constantly popping up adverts? If anyone has any recommendations I'm all ears.

Ta. :)

I've got more at home on the iPad.

I do the same thing with my 2yr old - but he's good - he can drop out of apps, swipe to pages, open folders and then find the app her wants - he can even go onto netflix, his account and start what he wants!! They learn fast

Nothing to add except a rant about those adverts...

*Advert pops up*

Any good free ones guys? Most of the suggestions above are paid for apps. Naturally if they are paid for apps they are going to contain none or very few ads but our little tyke gets bored fairly quickly so not that fussed about paying £1.99 over and over as he wants more and more games. I know, tightwad!!! :D
