Since moving across to a work iPhone 13 I've run with Location Services turned off. As much as I like the weather/rain notifications for exactly where I am, I just feel it's probably too much of a battery hog.
My other half was telling me a story of a colleague who lost his phone on the way back from a night out, and managed to track it down from a staff office in Victoria station (a kindly person had plugged it in for exactly that reason). I was starting to think I should probably be prepared for any unfortunate events...
What I can't find out is that if I have Location Services turned off, and I enable Lost Mode, does that actually switch on Location Services to enable you to track your phone? Apple don't even mention that, they seem to assume everyone has Location Services turned on all the time I guess
Sidenote, if Lost Mode doesn't turn on Location Services... how is battery performance impacted if you run Location Services on - but have all apps set to 'While Using'?
Sorry, still an iPhone noob here..
