Hey guys,

I really fancy a smaller iPhone from my current iPhone 11 (black), and considering the change to the Mini as I do like it a lot (from what i have seen in store).

Or do I hold out? Will there be any mention on the 7th of a new iPhone?

I have a "MOT" with EE tomorrow to check over the device etc..so wanna get some considerations in tonight before I go in tomorrow.

Any suggestions?

New iPhones are usually pretty much guaranteed to come out in September. So if you can hold on for a few months then it would be in your best interests.

Yeah, thought as much, I will probably hold off.

I've had a 12 mini for a couple of months now having changed from an older XR. I love it. The size is great, it has all the same features as its bigger options but its so much easier to pocket and I'm back to being able to use it single handed. It's a really refreshing experience after spending 2 years always feeling the XR was right at the limit of what I found comfortable in hand.

The negative I have is what you would expect, and its of course battery life, its no where near as bad as the scaremongering would have you beleive, but on very heavy days it can need a top up to keep it going all day. I work in a building with terrible signal thats always hard on battery and as long as I'm not doing something unusual I tend to end a day at around 20-30% remaining. At a weekend with more normal signal or using it at home on wifi more finsihing with 50% is more realistic. I'm essentially finding it lasts as well new as my XR was doing at around 90% battery health. It's definately not as good as my other halfs 11, but it does the job for me

Yeah, the size is great, and TBH the battery doesnt bother me too much as im not a "heavy" user, im sure with your usage that I will be more than fine, as I charge my device everynight at the bedside anyways :)

I've had my iPhone 12 mini for 4 or 5 weeks now and I was upgrading from an S10+. As noted above, it's a fantastic device and doesn't lack anything that the "full size" versions have other than a smaller battery. I've managed to get away so far without topping it up during the day but I can see that if I was out in the evening or had some time on a train to watch a movie, it'd need a little boost at some point. The good news is that it charges very quickly if using the cable....compared to my S10+ anyway.

I'm sure the next generation that comes out in September will have some added benefits (120hz screen would be nice) but I guess it depends on whether you'd make the most of those new features. Could be worth waiting anyway to see what Apple release later in the summer and if you decide to go for the 12, you might get a better deal.

Yeah, I was thinking the prices might come down with the lanuch of new phones, even though on my network atm, they have dropped 5-10 poundish recently.

Well..change of plan :)

I Got a cracking deal on a Mini, so that’s now coming on Monday!

I thought about what was said and agree, tech is moving all the time so why not get now, plus, most the features I don’t need, it’s the size so..

thanks guys again for the input on this! :)

Ok, so my new phone arrives on Tuesday, I am clearing off my old contract and my contract for my cellular Apple Watch..

before I start paying the data plan of £7 per month for the watch, can I just use the Apple Watch as an extension of the phone, just without the cellular features initially?

got my new iphone today, left on charge atm due to coming with very little juice.

Will give it a good go tommorrow and see how i get on :)

What’s the cheapest mini contract deal ? I’m on Vodafone but upgrades are showing as £51 a month for 64gb ( which is pathetic ).

What data plan is that for the £51 per month?? Unlimited?

also - was that on a 24 month plan? or 36/48?

that was 24 month and 100gb data AND £29 upfront .

looking on car phone warehouse I can get 160gb for same price. Although oddly it’s miles cheaper getting a new deal.

i didn’t get the best deal ever, but better than my current iPhone 11. Phone free , £50 per month, unlimited data.

quick question, due to what I have heard here and other sources regarding the iPhone Mini battery life, I have decided to leave my magnetic phone charger in my Man Cave at the PC to when im on it (most of the time) the phone has a place to stay, and charge..

What I want to know is, due to the rapid charging speed, is it OK to leave on the charging stand while im working, even when it reaches (in no time) 100% charge?
