Bit of a strange one, I have some albums on my iPhone which I purchased through iTunes years ago and fancied listening to one out of the blue today. Went to play one and for some reason none of the music was on my phone, ok so it gave me the option to download them, all ok.
However when I go to play any one of the tracks the screen changes to try Apple Music for 3 months or click 'not now'. Clicking the latter just returns me back to the album and doesn't play!

I've tried removing the music and re-downloading it but still the same issue!

Anyone had this before and able to overcome it?!

Have you tried it with the other albums?

I've had this happen before in that the original album I've bought is no longer available on iTunes. But it's there in another form with exactly the same songs. But I can't play it because it's not the one I originally bought. Can't do anything about it. When you buy a song from the iTunes Music store, it's supposedly your responsibility to back any purchases up. Don't rely on Apple to keep your stuff available, they are not like Steam for games, for example.

Yeh some other albums are playing fine, what's weird is that I can see the album in the iTunes store and it says that I've purchased it!

Ok I've been onto Apple support, turns out the purchases were hidden in my iTunes account - have now unhidden them and downloaded them, all good :)

Oh, that pesky hidden option. I once had every single item I've ever bought hidden due to some glitch. The Apple rep had to manually go through and unhide everything one by one. Took her a couple of hours, she said.
