Iphone not charging

Anyone else had problems with there iphone not charging, I plug it in and it just says charging not supported with this accessory

I had this. Turned out to be fluff and other crud inside the iPhone connecting socket. Give it a clean out (I used a needle in the end) and have another go.

tried that, gave it a good blow and nothing

I physically had to remove the fluff - even canned air wouldn't shift it, especially in the little nook on the far left.
