had my 8 gig iphone around a month or so now brand new. Over the last couple of days it seems that its not charging correctly. Been charging using the PC and left it charging for a few hours (5 or so) the bat shows full. but i've come to the phone again this morning after not using it since its less than 1/2 full :(

going to give it one more try this time using the mains, but if that fails what options have I got now there's no 8gigs about. If I take it back to carphone warehouse will they just refund me the money or can I hold them to a new iPhone and get them to give me a larger model thats in stock or even a v2 if I hold out a few more weeks, or will they force a refurb? don't fancy a refurb as its only a month old.

I don't know if it matters or not, but have you been closing iTunes once its popped up?
I leave iTunes minimised and when its done charging, I click "Eject iPhone"
Just an idea

They will send if off for repair to get the battery changed. They wont give you a higher spec product when they can get it repaired under guarantee from apple. sorry mate.

nuts, ohh well here's hoping the mains charge works.

Steve09 - yeah kept tunes in the background, could be something to do with my usb hub as it draws its power from either the PC or the mains. But if the mains isn't in my external drive has problems so possibly the mains power has gone on the hub.

Happened to me. I put it into a different USB socket and it worked. It sometimes takes notions with me and doesn't charge. Happened about 5 times now in the last month or so. The above worked every time.

slight update,

doesn't seemed to have worked much its not draining quickly straight away but over 24hours of hardly any use its 1/2 drained which before I could get 4-5 days light use out of this.

would I be better taking it to Carphone Warehouse or dropping into the apple store ?
