Yes you can, but I found signal quality was not very good with 3, inside buildings and sometimes I got no signal. Outside it was good.

Is this an issue with the iPhone or just the area you live in? I get decent 3 reception inside and outside with my current N95.

I take it that there is no official place to buy a factory unlocked iPhone?

Does the iPhone have the ability (or an app of course) to act as a wifi access point with internet connection sharing, so I could use my 3 mobile connection wirelessly with a laptop, for example?
