Hi folks, I'm not really in touch with what's 'hip' with phones - I've recently started a new job, and fancy a new phone as my Blackberry curve, though great for emails, calls and texts, doesn't cut it for web browsing etc, and as well as being useful for work I also have a longish commute now, so something to keep me entertained would be welcome.

Dare I ask how the latest Android phones compare with the iphone 4 these days - it seems I can get a better deal on an Android phone than an iphone, but there's also so many around now, I'm thoroughly lost and confused !

Questions about contracts vs buying outright will no doubt follow ...

Read some of the many Andriod vs. IOS threads in this forum, do a search, everyone has their own preference. No point in going over the same stuff again it just ends up in the same old circular debate.

Oh and Android handsets will always be more competitively priced than an Iphone since there is more than one manufacturer willing to do deals with the networks.
