well I am in a bit of a quandry . . .

I am on Orange and have been for over 12 years - have a contract with them and 4 x company phones as sharers.

I have always loved the Treo - 600, 650 and then an unlocked 750v!!!

Currently run a htc touch - its a bit slow and I miss the keypad - so its upgrade time and I am now wondering about getting either an unlocked Treo 500v (because I love the keyboard) or an iPhone that I can get as an upgrade (16Gb) for about £130.

Will it sync with MS Outlook - MOST IMPORTANT
How easy is tapping out messages
Is there any other software I can use to sync the iPhone as I hate iTunes???

Yes it syncs with Outlook.

Its easy to tap out messages.

iTunes is fine.

I think you'll struggle getting an iPhone as an upgrade on Orange though

errrrrrrr £139 gets ME an unlocked iPhone (obviously NOT official - but they use the upgrade to subsidise the upgrade via my Orange Account!

btw - thanks for the info.

Not as an "upgrade" you cant. The whole point is that you buy based on the fact that you are registering an O2 account with it.
He may be buying it and Jailbreaking it but without doing that this phone will *Not* be working on Orange.

right then . . .

I bought the phone, unlocked obviously, from a proper dealer - they unlocked it for me and did it as an upgrade on my Orange account - they get commission on doing the upgrade obviously and the cost to me (16gb iPhone) £139 cash for the phone and then all I pay is £12.50 + VAT per month as the number I did the upgrade on is a sharer on my contract!!!

Hope that has cleared it all up for you other BS's out there - LOL

btw - its awesome and good value I think!

PS - it does work on Orange + it does MMS + it does internet + it does send/receive e.mails + it does WiFi and ALL other features it should do!!!

oooo oooo

and a little red dot on the voicemail icon when you have a message - which dissappears when the message is deleted!!!!!
