Why do poeple compare the LG to the iPhone and keep forgetting to add about the £269.99 price tag lol!?

Do you think people are stupid enough to not realise this? give people some credit :)

The OP stated the 2nd option costs £100 more.

I've never had to replace a battery in any phone I've owned. Also do you not think lg have a replacement for the viewty lined up? At least an iPhone will hold its value to sell on, especially unlocked.

I can have any phone I want and I've stuck with the iPhone. Most people who slate the iPhone are stuck with a handset.

Posting this message via it on the train actually, I'd never have bothered with any of my other phones.

I too can have any phone I want............my work pays for the phone that i choose and they also take up my phone bill ALL of it, but at the end of the day its down to choice.

After reading the posts here and going to set the handsets in the shops, i decided to go for the viewty because of the camera and its less hassle (jailbreak). Also theres rumours that a 3g version of the iphone coming out.

So i will get the iphone if/when 3g comes out.

thanks for all the suggestions :D

Less hassle? To jailbreak the iPhone you have to run a single windows program and press a button. That's less hassle than it is to remove the stylus from the viewty and try and navigate around a clunky menu/webpage which you'll now have to deal with on a daily basis. :D

It's less hassle than the effort you made in posting this thread to be honest!

I had a play with the Viewty & the wife has the iphone. After messing around with them both, I went for the SE P1i :D.

It has everything - bluetooth, wifi, office apps, 3g, mem card slot (an 8gb card cost me £40), 3rd party apps (symbian OS), touch screen, qwerty keyboard, 3.2meg camera, fully featured media player, full web browser erm the list goes on. But it aint 'fashionable' so not many people have one.

Dont get me wrong the iphone is nice..........but Apple always brings out a lower speck before they bring out the better version look what they did with the new ipods smaller gig space than the old one which means that very soon the larger capacity version will arrive thats all im saying.
My buddy has an unlocked iphone very nice too but why have a 2 meg camara when everyone else is doing 5meg pix?
Apple always does this the next generation iphone will be a better choice.
I saw a program that ran the iphone against the n95 the iphone came last in the test but hey its all down to what you like i get emails all day from my buddy and sister..."sent from my iphone" if you want it now mate go for it.

Isn't this what every company does? Isn't it called 'progress'? A company would have to be pretty bad for their follow-up product to be lower spec than their first product.

I think for the second time i am misunderstood so i wont try to explain myself again save to say everyone knows how apple operate.

That doesn't even make sense.

The ipod Classic comes in 80 and 160 gig, the generation came in 30 gig, 60 gig, and then finally 80 gig... that seems fair enough to me.

Unless you're talking about the Touch, but that's not the same, the touch is flash memory. You never get as much space for your money with flash memory.

It also bears an uncommon resemblence to a house brick and the battery life is best measured in minutes. Exageration maybe but it balances out your love affair :D
