Doubt it, I would have thought they would have announced it at the same time as the update.

This could be the update that pushes me towards an iPhone, with tethering available on a non JB iphone, with copy and paste, plus MMS. I'd ideally like a better camera, but will suffer it for all the other goodness. I'm just going to hold off until o2 announce their tethering charges.
 
I'm looking forward to tethering. It's just a shame that O2's rubbish network never gives me more than 400kbps.

(edit) Tethering = connecting the phone to your computer and using it as a modem.
 
Great, an extra charge for tethering.

I'd rather they just gave you a fixed limit of <reasonable>GB of data per month, that you could use up with whichever combination of on-phone and tethered access you liked. It's going over the same modem, after all..
 
This is one promising update, moreso than 2.0 IMO.

Global search, stereo Bluetooth, MMS, tethering, turn by turn GPS, copy and paste and finally the push notification.

A lot of people's "wish lists" would be fulfilled from that, I think. Couple that to new hardware in June and it will be that much sweeter. Little things like shake to shuffle also sweeten the deal.

I heard that was 5GB per month.

Those on JB iPhones, use PDAnet its rather good :D

No MMS for V1? Interesting...

Not fussed tho! The min G3 comes out (Yes Generation 3 iPhone!) I'll be having that.

Im guessing iPhone 3 and iPhone 3G + 1 will be same date in the summer...

Yes. 100%

All the people in USA who got the v1 will be finishing their contracts in June, so they'll need to tie them in to another contract.

Plus it's what they've done in the last 2 years.
 
Ah now it's saying "Learn about the new SDK and get a sneak peek at iPhone OS 3.0 software. >> Watch the Presentation" :) Must have just been a bug :p
