Perhaps a stupid question but how do I get photos from my Iphone onto my desktop?

Can't seem to find an option to send them directly across :confused:
 
plug it in, you'll probably get a pop up promt which treats the iphone photo storage as a USB Mass storage.
 
Funny you should ask this. I've been asked to transfer some photos off, and then back on an iphone (as it was factory reset inbetween I think), but in all my years of working on computers and with tech, I couldn't do it. First time I plugged in, the mass storage worked, I got the photos off OK (though it took a few attempts as the copy was so slow using itunes or windows, but teracopy worked ok. Then I tried to copy them back using itunes, but itunes would just hang at some point during the transfer. I tried everything, uninstalling, reinstalling drivers etc but couldn't get it to work. Also, the mass storage mode wouldn't work on the iphone either. It showed that about 75% of the drive was full, but the phone was empty? It wouldn't allow anything to be copied over. Now, after reinstalling Itunes on that machine, it won't even recognise the phone at all. I tried another machine and itunes recognises it, but the mass storage mode still doesn't work.

Any ideas before I chuck it out the window?
