iphone playback jerky on computer

I have just interviewed some people using my iphone as the recording device - However when i uploaded it onto my mac and played it back it was very stuttery which will make it very difficult for me to edit.

However on my iphone it plays back fine .

I have tried opening in i video and it is a little better but still not perfect .

does anyone have any tips ??

Is it 1080p video?
What are your PC specs?
We're you able to previously play this type of video?
Does 1080p video on YouTube play fine?

I think it may just be a software issue. I would try many different players or try remuxing it into another file type.
