HI guys, i recently sold an iphone 2g on ebay, now the buyer has come back to me and said it wont work with his o2 sim card. According to him when the sim is in it says "slide for emergency calls" and there is a symbol telling him to put it on charge, if he presses the screen it comes up with the iemi number. Does it just need reset or is there something wrong? Its an o2 sim and the phone is locked to o2 if that helps.

Thanks :)

Does it need activating through iTunes again?

He can always try a restore, doesn't take long and he wont be losing anything.

Hopefully the buyer will sort it out, it's annoying when you sell an item to someone with no clue what they are doing. I sold a Aliph Jawbone Bluetooth headset last year and the buyer said that it kept cutting out ever few minutes. In the end it turned out the buyer was connecting it to his phone and then wandering around his house away from the phone, I had to explain that it's not how it works.
