Hi there,

I have a iPhone 4S - now I know there are better phones out there - but its the perfect size in my opinion.

Lately - its becoming really slow and I keep getting a "Storage almost full" message.

I have around 7000 pictures on the phone, along with a lot of music. Whats the best way of managing this? - Deleting what I don't need and keeping what I want to keep? I tried iTunes and hated the interface so much I gave up.

Thanks,

What capacity phone do you have?

What is the source of your music? If it is iTunes via the App then you can redownload it at any time so no need to keep it there.

Same with Apps, have a look at your usage and if there are any large ones you don't really use.

Thats assuming they are still available on the store.

Photos can be backed up to iCloud, or what I do is use a different Cloud service for my Photos. Dropbox/Carousel, OneDrive, GoogleDrive or AmazonCloudDrive. You can also copy them off manually using Windows Explorer (or presumably similarly if you have a Mac).

Drag and drop (move not copy - no need to use iTunes) the photos into a folder on your PC and remove the music you don't need (via the phone) this should free up a Gig or three.

I've just moved 130 photos/vids from my wife's Iphone which used just under a gig!
