Hi there - I'd appreciate some assistance with restoring my iPhone from a backup.
I replaced my iPhone today and went to restore it from back-up from itunes. When I tried to do so, I was told that restoring the backup would not be possible as the software on the backup was old. I was also told to set up the phone as new.
It would now seem as soon as I set up the phone as new, itunes saved over my backup of my old phone and replaced it with a blank copy! The latest backup is now time stamped the time I plugged the new iphone into my computer. Regretfully, there is no back up of my photos on the cloud.
This is very upsetting so any ideas on how to resolve this would be appreciated. I'm currently hoping updating the new iphone's software will, for some reason, make the old backup available, but I'm not holding my breath.
