Iphone restore.

Hi, everytime I sync my Iphone it says it backs it up - brilliant.

So if I connect my Iphone, click the 'Restore' button would it restore to the last time I synced with all apps/text messages everything the same? Or does it just restore to default Iphone with nothing on it wiping all the data?

Once it's restored you get the option (as iTunes recognises the phone has been synced before) to either load the last backup, which includes text messages and settings. Or set it up as a 'new phone'.

Edit: Sorry just re-read your post. Yes it would wipe the iPhone and restore everything to default. Afaik, it reloads the firmware?

The restore will wipe the phone completely. Then you'll get the option to restore from backup. This will restore your contacts, texts, apps, bookmarks, etc. It doesn't restore music or photos - you'll have to add those again yourself.
