Hi all :)

got my iphone this afternoon, its all jailbroken and unlocked etc and I've been trying to get some ringtones on there as per the guide in the sticky. I've got 1 track on there my converting to AAC then renaming it m4r and double clicking it.

I've also done this with 2 more files and they show in the ringtones folder in itunes but not on the sync options for my iphone, can I only have 1 at once or is something a bit iffy here?

Any tips gratefully received.

40 seconds is the longest that iTunes will recognise as a ringtone for syncing.

Download MakeiPhoneRingtone, and drop your trimmed aac file on it, job done ;)

I'd love to but it's just not convenient for work, I did try full tracks and cropped ones but maybe I cropped over 40s

Is there a max file size?

heh, I was talking new job and one of the conditions I was demanding was a macbook with bootcamp and vista :)

I'd want 4GB of RAM with that deal too!

I wish my work would let me bring in my Mac Pro.. that'd be sweet.

it's website sales so its pretty techy anyway.

Not sure if they'd wear it but there's mileage in them having safari and osx to test new builds on anyway, especially with the iphone probably quadrupling the users of safari in 6 months lol

(joking.. sort of!)

Discussions on a change of contract are under way regarding my job and MacBook (or MacBook pro if I am pushy) is a must or they can keep things the same... :D
