iphone screen issue

the screen on my partners iphone 8 has started to come away from the body on one side. its sticking out about 1mm across most of its length. is this something i can just take into a phone shop to get repaired? should i send it back to apple?

Direct with Apple with cost you £152.44. Maybe worth seeing what they say either way as sometimes they can check for known issues. Could be the battery bulging and pushing the screen for example.

Another option could be to pay for a battery repair which will involve them removing the screen and reattaching it.

took it to an apple shop for battery replacement. it was a swollen battery causing the problem. cost £49 for a battery replacement. phone good now.
