Hi all,

Now I've gone and joined the iPhone club, does anyone know if the screen protector the Apple store sell will keep my new baby fingerprint and smudge free? That's the only drawback I've found so far...constant screen polishing. :D

And are they easy to apply?

Thanks in advance.

To be honest I don't think you really need one - I have a Belkin iPod Touch Leather Folio for my 32gb touch and it is perfect. The covers mean that you will be transferring your fingerprints to it instead. The fronts are glass and the general report is that they don't scratch easy.

I got a anti glare one off the bay from the same ppl that make that crystal one and it was really simple to fit. I still wanna find a posh looking case. Anyone got any reccomendations?

i just bought some film protectors from cpw for mine. its like £5 for 4. if they scratch then sod it, rip it off and put a new one on. its better than possibly scratching the glass instead.

I've tried to scratch mine with a set of keys (drunken betting = bad)

It's nigh-on impossible, unless you gouge the screen with a razor.

I'd get a Martin Fields screen protector, I use them for all my phone and to be honest you wouldn't even know they are there if you install them correctly.

I sold a phone to a friend a couple of weeks ago when I metup with him the following week he proudly showed me he'd put a screen protector on the phone, I pointed out he was a clown as it already had one installed :p at least I used words to that effect - arter alll it was late on Friday evening and the Guinness had been flowing :D

I got one off ebay for a couple of quid and its perfect. Was easy to apply and does the job nicely.
