Iphone SE sized alternatives on android?

Any suggestions folks? I like the size of the smaller phone, I'm on an old samsung S4 and feel it's a bit bulky as I only use it for basic surfing internet, email and Twitter.

Rather stay on android though but most small phones I've found have been older samsung models like the S5 mini. Any others with a look?

Heck I'd even go back to a flip phone if I could!

Nexus 5X ? I haven't checked the dimensions but I think that could be of a comparable size to the SE. I'm in the same boat as the missus has a dated iPhone4 that I want to replace with an android phone. She doesn't want my 6P as it is too large, so other than the Sony already suggested, I am looking at the 5X.

I have the SE. Fantastic little device. I love mine. And tbh I'm not an Apple fanboy. As I've had many previous android devices like the s7.

This just fits my needs. Small. Lightweight. The screen is good for what it is. The battery life is brilliant. Etc.

I would say the Xperia Z5 compact is the best choice.

Yeah the Z5 Compact seems to be the king of the 'small' premium Android phones.
