iPhone - Setting background as a colour

Is there a way of setting the phone's background to a colour and not an image? Can this be done easily on jailbroken phone?

Bosspaper can do this, supposed to be a pretty lightweight app but I'd probably still go with creating an image.

Girlfriend upgraded to an iPhone 4 the other day and prefers the black background, thought it was pretty crazy you couldn't select a solid colour as a background! Got around it why a black image.

Agreed. Should be able to change it as you would with OSX.
