IPhone Signal Issues

I have been having quite a few singal issues. I lose my connetion all the time. One mine I have 2 bars and the next I get No service. I have recently had messages pop up about my cellular settings being lost as well, and its getting right annoying as people have been texting me and calling me and I have not been receiving their messages or calls

I am thinking of taking it back to the Vodafone shop for repairs, but I am concerned that I spilt some water on the phone about 8months ago and even though the phone has been working fine untill now. I have a feeling that there not going to help with my signal fault.

The headphone jack is ok, and is not red. There is a red tab below the dock connector.

Some one mentioned that there are some internal ones as well, I am guessing there are gonna be the most important ones???

I have contacted Vodafone, who said that my SIM card is a 2G, and as my iPhone is 3Gs, this is why I have my signal issues. There sending me a new SIM card out today.

I am not sure if this will resolve my issue? But I am willing to try anything right now.

I am quite shocked, but I put the new Sim card into my phone and activated it, within 10 mins. I now have a full signal and I am sending and receiving texts.

It looks like my 8 year old Sim card, was finally on its last legs afterall :eek:
