Iphone signal problems

i got a 3GS that been jb with jailbreakme.com so i could keep my original sim from orange (the sim itself is only 11 months old) everything was working ticketty boo and then when i put my sim in the phone it will work for about 5 - 15 mins before the signal will drop to either 1 bar or to no bar at all, to resolve this i tried resetting the phone, re jail breaking but nothing seems to work, if i take the sim out and put it in my old phone for a bit and put it back in the iphone it works again but then it will follow the same pattern


any ideas ?

if your on 4.0.1 ( signal fix fw ) i think because of the signal issues with the IP4 the signal image on your phone is fa more sensetive than on any previous apple fw's
i updated my 3G last night to 4.0.1 and JB it, and noticed right away that the signal bar was far more responsive
im not planning on 4.0.1 for my IP4
maybe restore back to 4.0 see if it improves
obviously if your not on 4.0.1 then none of my idea will apply

i updated thru itunes so i would have thought its the most up to date FW, might have a scout around for the 4.0FW


any other ideas?
