iphone sync

Hi

Im taking my iphone in to aple tomorrow, as lately a lot of dust is getting under my screen

I rang them and told them this and they said if its a manufacturing fault it would be replaced....What else can it be? Its around 6 months old and in brand new condition still with not a mark so this has bugged me.....If on the likely event of it being replaced, Wil itunes sync the new iphone with all my previous data from my current iphone? like all the music, txt messages, photos etc?

I'm afraid I cannot help, but let me know how you get on.

My home button makes a weird clicking noise, and feels very odd most of the time, like it is sticky (but it isn't sticky), so I am tempted to take it back to see if they will fix/replace it.

If you do receive a new iPhone, iTunes will restore your previous iPhone's latest backup onto the new iPhone.

I took mine into the apple store Glasgow last week for fluff under the screen and a bad battery, they guru said they would have replaced it becuase of the fluff and the bad battery sealed the replacement (didnt get that at the time but there you go) I've heard of some stores doing a in-store repair on them and give it you back so maybe he was considering that option for me but the battery cant be replaced in store. Anywy I've got a new 3G and its weirldy miles better than my old one, much faster and much better battery life.

As Cybertronic says you will get all your old iphone content back when you sync again so log as you restore using your last iphone backup, just make sure itunes is set to backup all your photos etc first

well i took it to sheffield yesterday.....around a 50 mile drive, And he had a looksie at it and decided to replace the screen, only took about 5 mins, Thought great, My phones in brand new condition anyway so new screen will be great.....Finally got home to find that the glue that holds the screen down to the back case wasnt sticking -_- and the screen had lifted off.....So back again !!! 2nd trip to sheffield.....This time they just replaced the handset and i came away with a new 3g....Good service tho

And it all backed up fine...Just a shame i had to drive 200 miles.
