The most bizzare thing happened today, I use an Alarm Clock app on the iphone to wake me up in the morning, and today it woke me up fine at 6.25am.

left for work and put the phone into its holder plugged into a charger, and drove to work,

Got to my desk and looked at my phone and the time is showing 2.45am,

I know i have a long drive to work but why has my clock gone back 5 and a half hours?

The time zone is correct, i have a 3GS 32GB with OS4.1,

I know i can change the time manually, but i want to know what could have caused this,

Did i drive through a Black hole?

Me and a guy i work with have had similar issues.

Ive had to resort to using the manual time. If i do the automatic one, its about 1 month and 1 hour out.

Also having the same problem:

Current time: 13:52 on the 10/11/2010
Iphone time: 13:04 on the 7/11/10

I've had the same thing happen on my iPhone 4, which is also running 4.1. Was out on Friday evening watching a fireworks display, went to take a photo and it was showing as about 2.30 am, despite it being about 7.30 pm! Seemed to sort itself out though as it was back to normal the next time I used it about 30 mins later.

At least the problems with repeating alarms seems to have resolved itself now.

Bizzare, It seems to have sorted itself out, after hours of abuse at it and apple in General. I must admit though i will not be setting my Alarm on it anytime soon.

Sounds like it could be a network issue. Did you all have the phone set to update the time automatically? If something went wrong with the network's own timekeeping then it could have sent the wrong time to your phone.

I had this problem with my gen2 ipod touch after returning from a holiday in Italy where i used wifi.

It kept defaulting to Amsterdam time zone but just seemed to sort itself out after a few weeks but it was really doing my head in.
