Sorry for asking but I just replaced a cracked screen in an iphone 4.
I got the wee tool kit included and it did the job but I have another iphone4 screen to replace and wondered if there is a more professional set of screwdrivers I could buy. Dont mind paying a bit extra for them, always handy to have anyway.
Any ideas what and were to buy?

Thanks.

Thanks, had a look and it seams this is the one to look for.
Phillips #00 Screwdriver.

Tell us what it's like when it arrives. I got a 2nd hand 4s last week and was thinking of changing the battery. Some moderate usage today and its already at 40%.

The official apple tech ones are made by moody tools, they are about the same costs as snap ons. I managed to get a set from eBay from the states, the issue is that the screw drivers ain't useful for anything else.

My iPhone 4, 4S and 5 use the pentalobe screws. However because they're so small, they are difficult to distinguish from torx which are 6-point, but pentalobe screws are of course 5-point. The kit you purchased has a pentalobe driver included though, so you're OK. I believe Apple have been using the 'tamper-resistant' screws since 2009.

This is the set that I got, ebay

Gone are the days when apple used to send out drivers with the part, but without digging out my toolbox, I'm pretty sure that they used moody tools even back then.

Draper has an expert 50580 7-Piece Precision TX-Star Screwdriver Set that is more useful from fixing mac computers. Silverhill has an Deluxe Apple Mac Tool Kit for 7 pounds that will have most of the drivers needed for both computers and phones; thou the quality of them will mean that they wont last for ever and can be a bit of a pain to use on big jobs but is perfect for the odd job or two but for 7 pounds, I got several.

Basically I use a set of snap ons with the draper and moody set if I know I be at it for a while or working on multiple machines. Or the snap ons and the silver hill set if its a quick 5-10 min job.
