Iphone trouble

Hi ya fellas,

Ive got meself a 16GB 2G Iphone, thing is it's in DFU mode and itunes cant see the device so im stuck

Ive tried re-installing itunes to no avail.

Any knowledgable people give me any advice.

Is that straight out of the box? I had a similar thing, changing USB ports sorted it.

had to downgrade firmware then restore
