I'm thinking about swapping my existing phone (on Vodafone contract) with an unlocked iPhone.
Basically I don't know much about Apple hardware or iPhones at all, but my other half has one on an O2 contract and its wonderful, her email works perfectly, reception is fine, and I love the interface.
My problem is that I've just (stupidly) signed up to another 18 months of contract. I originally tried the Sony X1 phone, very good phone, just for some reason in my home it barely got reception. Swapped that for the N96, and whilst reception is much better I just don't really like the phone at all.
I really did enjoy having push email work on the X1, along with its other bits and pieces, and knowing how well that works on my other half's iPhone I'd like to get an unlocked iPhone to use on my Vodafone contract.
However, I'm unsure if things like the Push Email function, 3G internet etc will work on my Vodafone contract (assuming I call Vodafone to re-enable the Push Email facility).
Would anyone be able to advise me before I get one?
