iphone upgrade 2g>3g

i currently have the iphone 2g but thinking upgrading to the 3g, im on iphone contract with o2 i know can get one free if i go into cpw

do they do a new credit check then, worried i might not pass as my credit is really bad

went in to upgrade, they did a credit check on me and it got referred, told to go back in at 5

even though been paying all my o2 bills etc on time, its only an upgrade

btw i got the 3G dont update to the latest firmware yet and jailbreak!

got turned down

so have to keep my old iphone, thats shocking. think its somethin to do with my address maybe

I got reffered for the iPhone 3G but they said i can have it on the condition that i dont use it abroad for three months.
