Allo all,

I rarely keep upto date with how mobile phone companies work and I haven't really had a chance to check out how phone upgrades work either.

Here's the thing. I wants the iphone v2 as most do. I am currently on a 12 month contract, which has more or less ended since CPW text and mail me about upgrading my phone to the latest model. I currently have possibly the worst phone I have ever owned - the SE w880i.

However I am holding out for the release of the iphone. Since I am due an upgrade I presume I can move to the iphone v2 without any hassle? I don't even know if there is some kind of waiting list for these things. I guess I'll need to eventually get around to asking CPW themselves.

Should be easy to move to it I would imagine, just port your number etc

Might be a bit of a hassle getting your hands on a v2 iPhone though.

Yep just upgrade over to a Iphone contract, Your number will be instant - 2hours to swap over if your currently with o2!

I went from a 8month old N95 contract to my iPhone, and the swap over took about 2hours :)

Ah sweet cheers guys. See one thing I was concerned about is that my contract has expired now, and I feared not being to upgrade to something else should I wait too long. The last thing I want is to be lumbered with this kiddy phone for any longer tbh lol.

Fyi I'm on O2 via CPW.

Avoid Carphone Warehouse where possible.

02 stores don't require the paper exercises, and they have a much better returns policy.

As they're the carrier they'd also be more helpful from a number-porting point of view.

I don't wanna start a hate campaign but they wouldn't refund me when I bought my girlfriend a surprise phone and she didn't like the colour.

Unopened, less than 6hrs after purchase and they didn't want to know. Completely ridiculous considering it was a gift.

I do want to start one, jk...

My sister wanted a phone for listening to music with, they told her the phone she wanted N95 was rubbish then sold her some piece of crap and refused to take it back even when she told them that they had said it has x functionality when it didn't and that was the function she wanted, I say x functionality because it was several things...

Easy to sync was one of them, and it was any thing but.

If I was around at the time I would have gone in for her but I was at uni so couldn't get back, ********
