iPhone?

Looks like October over here. Found this on pricing

Apple has announced a US price of $499 for the 4GB model and $599 for the 8GB model, both requiring users to sign to a two-year contract with the US-based Cingular network. At current rates of conversion, plus VAT, that prices the 4GB model at £299 with a similar two-year contract (£359 for the 8GB model).

Double the GBP price and that's likely to be the sim free version. Not sure which networks it will be available for though.

Prices on a contract in UK will be much cheaper then that. The UK is pretty much the only place in the world (afaik) that heavily subsidise handsets on contracts.

..Where from? These surely are not actual Apple phones.
