iphone5s earpiece speaker not working

Hi All,

My wife's new iPhone 5s has arrived, but she can't hear anything on calls through the normal phone earpiece. Speakerphone and headphone works perfectly, so it isn't a network issue.

Is there anything that we can try, or do we need to just call Apple?

... and it is fixed.

Latest IOS update has fixed it completely. No idea how, but it has.

I was on the phone to Apple in the US (A guy called Scott from Kentucky, literally the happiest, most helpful call centre person I have ever spoken to) and he suggested that although it was almost certainly a hardware issue, just to give it a try.

It worked, no idea how, but it did.

Thats good news, My iPhone 4 the ear peace failed completely whilst making a call.
