Hey,

I've been wanting to get one of these new iphone 4g's but as I'm sure a lot of you are well aware, they're out of stock everywhere... Anyway, I've been looking around online and Vodafone offer a cheaper deal on their 18 month, £30 per month contract compared to O2 and Orange (the cost of the actual phone anyway).

I'm tempted by this but have to ask... Will Vodafone cram the iphone full of all their crappy software and online store shortcuts etc? they did this on my old K800i and it made the menu look horrible. Basicly, are iphones good on Vodafone? I want the phone to be like it was when it left Apples factory not some Vodafone crammed promotional piece of garbage.

Thanks.

Nope, Apple will not allow any mobile network to touch the phones software.

OMG *loves Apple* Great! But I still must ask, how are iphones (specificly the 4G if anyone has one) on Vodafones network? Coverage, extra costs (if any) etc. Thanks peeps!

i've switched from o2 iphone 3g to vodafone iphone 4. Coverage in central london seems much better, particularly when travelling. Data seems better, but still can crawl in busy areas during busy times.

Seems better than o2 so far, but i'll wait a bit longer before deciding.

And you have no Vodafone gimmicky crap on the phone itself? Good to hear about coverage. I'm in the North East so the signal should be better due to less crowded conditions. Assuming they have upgraded this regions infrastructure. Cheers guys.
