Hi There,

I was thinking of getting an UNLOCKED Iphone from the bay...

Trouble is I know nothing at all about them.

I have been with Tmobile for nearly 3 years, I am on a friends and family plan so get a great deal...

If I get an Iphone:-

- can I remain on Tmobile?
- If I stay with Tmobile can I have access to the full features i.e. email, internet with Tmobile?
- are there any restrictions of getting an iphone on tmobile?

Whats the difference between the new iphone and the existing one?

Also what would you consider to be better a blackberry or an Iphone on Tmobile?

All help would be appreciated

Thanks

The new iphone has a faster cpu in and double the ram so its more responsive, they have slapped a 3.2mp auto focus camera on(no flash) and it can record in vga resolution on video, slightly better battery life they say as that was my only grumble with the iphone 3g i had the battery life is terrible.

Just buy one on O2 pay as you go for about £340 for the 8GB or 16GB for £390 and unlock it.

That's what I done, I got a 16GB. Cost me a lot less than one on contract in the long run.

So are Apple and **** as the wonga comes rolling in.

The owners of the product aren't though, as they keep on doing the marketing job for them.

When you've dropped 500 plus big ones on a phone, ego dictates that 9 times out of 10 the owner will defend it to the hilt. And the higher the price, the more they'll try and justify it.

Good business model.

Average product.

Sums Apple up under Jobs.

You can't polish a turd. But as long as you've got something slightly better than that, you can polish it a lot.

Haha now this made me smile! I guess you're being serious...

I paid £260 for a used once in brand new condition from auction. I wouldn't have paid any more, the contract prices are also crazy.

Really happy with mine for the money I paid.

it's now ~£342 for the iphone 3g 8gb, ~£440 for the iphone 3gs 16gb and ~£528 for the 3gs 32gb. there's no more iphone 3g 16gb(officially, you can still find it on the bay).
karl01 it's £899.99 for the 32gb version, the 16gb is £100 cheaper.
the 8gb and 16gb of the 3g version are under £600.

but as been said, it's cheaper to get a sim locked one and unlock it yourself.

It's still available to buy from the Apple Store.

Not sure you will get impartial advice now this has been moved to an apple forum;)

The iphone 3GS is a decent phone, just depends what you want from a phone?

Having been a Nokia user since my first Symbian device, the Ngage; then onto the N93, I did have a N95 though went back to my N93 over it.
I can say with confidence the iphone is my new champion.
Sad to see my N93 replaced though must remember if I get angry whilst holding my iphone to put it down quickly or count to ten.
