When I delete pictures from iPhoto they still appear in the iPhoto folder how do I delete within iPhoto to get rid of the photo fully as i dont want to keep going to the iPhoto Folder to delete it one by one

You need to delete them from the iPhoto Library not the albums, then empty the trash within iPhoto and they will be gone.
