iPlayer - Wrong aspect ratio :(

I've just installed the iPlayer, and downloaded an episode of spooks... Unfortunately, stupid WMP10 screws up the aspect ratio and plays it at 4:3 even tho the program is 16:9

How to I for 16:9?

I tried playing the file in VLC but it wouldn't play...

Not sure if there's an easier solution but there should be a way of calibrating the pixel shape/aspect ratio in the windows media player settings. It shows a circle that you can adjust until it looks fully circular...you can adjust it so it looks stretched which will make your video look normal.

I gave up and just watched it on the website in the end...

I'll give WMP11 a go next time, but I'm not a WMP fan TBH, WMP6 was where it was at...

TBH you cannot moan if your on a WMP that's well older than IPlayer.
