Just got my IPOD 30GB!!!!!!! got headphones, data and charging cable, what do i do now, how do i put songs,Photos and videos on? im a bit stuck. ( i have itunes installed).

PS: i have the cable that detects the ipod in and my ipod is saying DO NOT DISCONNECT, WHAT DO I DO?

does the iPod appear in iTunes or in my Computer?

What OS are you using?

Tried reading the instructions that come with the iPod?

Question 1 : Yes it appears

Question 2 : XP

You just drag songs in itunes onto the ipod, its simple enough.

to add songs to itunes, buy them or put your cd in and it will rip it .

Cant i put the downloaded ones on my computer on there by just dragging them there. Does it work the same way with movies or photos?

For downloaded ones you mean not from itunes webstore? then add the folder containing them to itunes (Do this from an option in the files menu)

then you can copy it to ipod. Movies will need converting to appropriate format.
