Hi guys my sister got one of these the other day and is having problems. When charging with usb(Only way of charging it) the battery indicator says it is half full even though it has been left on long enough for a full charge.

Anyone any ideas.

Has she discharged it and recharged the battery multiple to fully get the battery working properly? I got my 5th Gen on March 20th and everytime I recharge it the battery seems to get better. Also I recommend adjusting the backlight timer to 2 secs.

Run it down completely until it switches off automatically, and that should help reset the battery meter.

You could also try a hard reset but hopefully the above method should fix it.
