Hi. Just picked up an iPod 4th gen as a gift for the folks and am setting it up. It's brand new. When it has been in sleep for a while it takes quite a few home button clicks to display the unlock screen but pressing the power button brings it up immediately. Also when using it you sometimes have to press the button again as it seems not to register the press first time.
I personally have an iPhone 4 and never experience this. Is it always like this on an iPod or should the thing come to life on the first press of the home button not on the 4th or so? Sometimes you can hit the sleep button on top and hitting home immediately goes back to home, other times you have to tap home a few times to get back! Doesn't seem right to me?! On the iPhone whenever I click home it registers it first time and goes to the home screen as it's meant to.
